Temporary/Contemporary is a site-specific dance work, exploring the sense of anonymity, rootlessness, restlessness, time dilation or contraction, and identity shifting an individual can experience in transitional environments in which many people who have no relationship to each other other than their temporary location are together, such as hotels, train stations, airports, office buildings, and museums.

The piece was performed three times throughout 2016 as part of the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara's upcoming exhibition Shift, Stretch, Expand: Everyday Transformations at their satellite space at the Hotel Indigo. An accompanying video installation documenting the performances was be mounted as part of the ongoing exhibition.
